Remember to loosen the screw at the bottom, next to the pin. This controls the spring tension other wise this arm will just go up. I found loosing that screw I can have the arm fully loose and move it where ever I need to and it stays in that position.

The boom stand itself is well made but doesn't actually stay in place even when you lock the screws. Arm will steadily rise (after being locked) and I have to adjust it often. The clasps are low quality, one broke when I was installing the cable. The clamp is good and I like that you can push the arm away and towards you (because it's not fixed) but apart from that this product isn't great. It looks nice but doesn't function well at all.
It’s nice. Easy to adjust – Good for heavy mics
Wouldnt recommend buying it, 3 of the 6 clips broke. And tensioning doesnt change anything. The other brands would be cheaper and probably the same
I bought this for my blue yeti microphone and it works really well. I just wish I had a screwdriver to fiddle with the screw at the bottom so I could loosen the spring tension a little so it doesn't fly up into the high heavens. Gotta be gentle with the little clasps though, they're the only thing on it that may seem a bit fragile. Other than that, it's great! been using it for about 3 years now and it's still really good!
