I'd been eagerly awaiting this book & it didn't disappoint. Beautiful presentation, easy to follow & the tips throughout the book are very helpful.

Annabel always manages to produce books with a great range of recipes that can easily be prepared by the home cook. Great suggestions for menus for entertaining and preparation tips. As with all Annabel's recipes, the quantity is quite large so they are good for feeding a crowd and entertaining.

Gift for my mum, she was really happy and both she and my dad were planning things they were going to cook from it.

I have made many recipes from Annabel's Essential book and we love them, taste great, quick and easy and the best bit, I usually have what I need in my pantry. I purchased Essentials two and loved it so much that I decided to get the first book as well. You can't go wrong with these book – every recipe I have tried, and I have tried many, work well and taste great.

This is an marvellous cookbook. I haven't had it long enough to test out the recipes, but what I have tried are excellent. There is so much extra information and cross referencing that it makes it such a useful addition to my library. It's also a delight to read and own as a coffee table book! I just hope the binding is strong enough to will see my life out!!
