I didn't have the issues others had with delivery or setting up the sim. I value MA for their awesome customer service and ability to really help a customer. Something that mightymobile (vodaphone / one) is missing. The live chat experience with MM is in every way a poorer experience than the live chat with MA. When it works (note – when) there is no indication of where in the queue you are. The consultants don't appear to be in NZ (which isn't as much of an issue). They copy-paste generic messages and the ‘survey’ to ‘help them improve’ has a 185-character limit which is just over a single line of a Word document (shows how much they actually care about improving).

Mightyape management – if you read this. Don't use the live chat service that mightymobile use – it's worse in every way.

The SIM card arrived in 2–3 days, customer service answered via chat within a few minutes. They helped me with the activation and portage number which is a bit annoying but it was even worse when I’ve changed from Spark to One last year… so I guess all those providers can be a pain… anyway it was fast and the service and internet are working great! Happy whit the quality and price, will use it for my husband too.

Got my simcard cant activate it the “support” keep saying there a glitch and not helping me at all. I've had this glitch for four days… Thanks.

Amazing app, service and customer service. Great price per month. Since I like prepaid, it makes me feel I am in control. 10mbps speed is good for me for all my mobile needs.

Good coverage, fast, and unlimited everything. It's amazing I had to buy my husband one too and my cousins are also getting theirs. I would have spent around 80bucks for a month with other carrier just to use the mobile data. This saves me so much money and it's a very good deal too. I can Netflix/Youtube no problem.

Bought 2, received it very quickly. Set up and activation super easy, within less than 5 minutes was all active and ready to go, including transferring my own number. Connection and line is exactly the same as my previous provider. Should have done it earlier!

Simple. Put sim in, download app, change to own number 4 hours… $20 per month 15gb. Was with Kogan 2 years but no special at the moment so decided to jump to Mighty Mobile. All Mighty Ape need to do is offer better 365 day deals like Kogan. All good no dramas. Great service as in internet and phone.

Super easy and quick delivery

I encountered a problem porting my number to mighty mobile. I contacted them through their app chat support and my issue was resolved within the day.

The lack of support gets the low rating…. Issue sorted next day. Slow response but sorted at last. So I’m updating from one star to three stars rating.

So I missed my auto renewal payment on the 30th of February 2024 so they cancelled my mobile that's cool. I repaid on the 7th of march 2024 and that's fine my mobile is reinstated as a pre paid plan should be. Come the 28th of march I get an email saying a payment will be taken out on the 30th of march 23 days after I repaid for my mobile plan? So I contact support and I'm rest assured that it will continue till the 7th of April and to disregard any emails cool thought that was problem sorted come today the 30th of march my mobile plan is now ended and they have no recollection of a plan be active on there end!

I'll start this off my saying this could all be because of my phone. However, until I switched to mighty mobile I never had such issues.

It is very unreliable. Network and calls constantly drop out. Talked to the help desk and they suggested to restart my phone, which I have obviously tried. Network speed is incredibly slow too. Often well below the stated 10mbps. It will take like 2 minutes to load in a basic Google search at times. When it runs normally, it's OK for speed and can watch YouTube decently.

Had trouble initially activating my SIM. Live Chat helped out and ported my number etc. Everything was good for about an hour, then everything dropped. I no longer have an active plan, service, anything. My number is no longer in service, meaning I'll probably have to get a new one. Very disappointed and expected so much more from something MA put their name on. Currently waiting for Live Chat to come back to me about the issue, but not looking positive.

App is minimal info. No contact numbers only chat bot that doesn’t work. No option to pay by other means than credit card. Have been cut off – can’t use calls, data or text – when there is enough funds for the monthly payment. Only 4 months in a yet another issue!! Do not recommend.

I will update this review if I actually get the SIM working, but have wasted 3 hours talking to customer service on live chat because I didn't have my old SIM card with me when I activated the mighty mobile SIM – this seems to break the activation process. Please fix this or tell customers to have their previous SIM with them before activating!

The setup literally took 2 minutes, if even that. Just follow the instructions on the leaflet: pop in new sim, click on the link in the sms you receive, follow the instructions (keep number or use new one), if you keep your number then switch sims, reply to message and switch sims again. Download the app and you are good to go. They use One NZ for signal which seems to be slightly weaker than Spark where I live but for the price point I’m willing to try it out.

Very happy with how quick the internet is and how easy it was to set it up and port my number.

No problems at all to activate the card. Fast enough to watch YouTube videos – no lagging. Highly recommended.

Card arrived today. Put it in the phone, got the text it said I would get but after a long process it seem to go down hill once asked for credit card details. It said it took to long to process and nothing has happened since that time. I put it in and out and it will not connect. Paid the $20 to get the card but nothing will work. No one to ring. I've contacted Mighty Ape but said it will be 1–3 days so have to wait and see.

Mighty Mobile was pretty good in the past 6 months but now from last 2 weeks, the hotspotting speed is too low. About 0.11 Mbps on Netflix and Amazon prime.

Tried it. Bad reception, calls kept dropping. No data in lots of places. All this between Christchurch and Dunedin.

Best deal on the market and loving it!

My son got it and on-boarding with porting was seamless. I got it the following day, SIM arrived speedily. Changeover is easy but I made a mistake, I entered my acct number then realized I was prepaid so got a text. Porting couldn't happen because that was wrong. Went online, waited approx 17 mins, I have no issue with that as the Bot said it would take a little bit. The person who dealt with mine corrected my issue and then hit “porting” on my app and saw it was accepted. Advised it may take a few hours with a max of 3 days keep my sim till all service stops. My old number ported over in good time and sitting on $20 unlimited data p/month for the next 12 months. A bit nerve racking keeping track of which sim card I had where but that was a me problem.

So far not good. So signed up for this plan and paid the $20. Sim card arrived and now it's stating $40 per month and $40 has been taken from my card account. Customer service reckons I'll receive 11 more plan renewals at $20 and my $40 will be refunded apparently. Not good enough. Will update review once the refund has been processed and received and my plan has been changed. I am in talks with the TDR and commerce commission.

Def worth it for $20 per month.

Mighty mobile is pretty good, fast speed, no dramas streaming live sports. Bang for buck.

Arrive very quickly and installed easily. Coverage in some parts of Dunedin crap. When working is very good and no issues. Good value.

Has worked great for as long as I've had it, only had 1 issue where 2 weeks in it didn't work and just had to restart my phone but after that no issues.
