Another very good written and illustrated anime loosely based on the life of Jiro Horikoshi who had a passion for aeroplanes and bringing the japanese into modern times of the era.

It’s a different type of beast compared to the majority of other Ghibli films . It’s still highly enjoyable and entertaining , but it’s more grounded in actual historical events , and a topic highly personal to Miyazaki – his love of aircraft and flying machines ! Themes I can easily relate to ?
I recommend this movie highly. It has a very high tone, useful for forming a love of beauty and goodness in you and your children.
Another story typical of Miyazaki's work. A strong message of personal strength and integrity in a time for us when these are being treated as optional extras. One can only hope now that someone will pick up his torch and carry it on.
A beautiful finale piece from Miyazaki.Honestly brilliant in every sense of Studio Ghibli. Loved it. Laughed, was amazed by the scenery, cried. Story line was beautifully written. And the artwork as breathtaking as per usual.
I absoluately loved this movie. The story of Jiro and his dream of building airplanes and findly achieving it was good. Also the other characters you just admire or love them. The movie I believe would be good for any age its funny, sad enjoyable and the story line was excellent.I could watch this movie time, time again.
