There’s a constant background static every time there’s media playing which is bothersome, especially when watching videos and listening to podcasts and quieter music. Otherwise, it does work but kind of ruins the sound experience.

Assuming your device is capable of screen mirroring (can detect HDMI via USB-C), this little thing is a problem solver like you wouldn't believe. Very happy with it. Saved me from buying a new TV.

I can plug my screen into a laptop with an HDMI port using an HDMI cable, but the same cable plugged into this adaptor, and the adaptor plugged into the laptop's USB-C port does not work. Tried 2 laptops, no good. Mighty Ape was great – provided a refund. I then bought a Cruxtec USB-C to HDMI Adaptor male to female (model CTH4K-WH) which worked straight away.

As someone who used to run a surface pro 7 which doesn't have a dedicated video output and only one usb A port this adapter is a lifesaver for displaying things on class projectors and having devices plugged in, I can't say much about its usb pd performance as I haven't gotten a chance to use that yet but considering how well this has worked for me so far I'm sure its perfectly fine for the vast majority of devices. Video and audio through hdmi are clear and show no artifacts, the cable is quite sturdy and has survived being carried around in a bag and still feels like new

Unit was exactly as described, it didn't end up working for what we were tryyyying to make work, BUT that's not the products fault, we were being hopefull.

I purchased this adapter for the sole purpose of being able to use my vpn via hdmi when needed as vpn isn't compatible with chromecast dongle and it works a treat. The DEX app on S8 and S9 work perfect. WD Elements 1TB and Seagate 1.5 TB external drives with microsoft exfat/ntfs and total commander from play store installed work well also. Great little product for the low price!

My work laptop only had one HDMI input, but I wanted to plug two monitors into it – so this works perfectly!

My Lenovo Chromebook has just one Type C port, this adapter lets me connect to an external monitor or TV and provides a USB 3 port for thumb drives, mouse etc

I used this maybe 6 times and it stopped working.

After few months of use, the device is no longer working.

HDMI port packed it in after only one use, sad thing is it isn't even heavy enough to use as a paperweight –1/10 wouldn't do it if I were you
