Watchmen Special Edition Steelbook (2 Disc Set) reviews

Just as good if not batter than the comic version, I was unsure if it would live up to the Gaphic novel I enjoyed so much but it has and more.

Very average film. Two and a half hours of my life I will not get back. Had some moments looked promising, but overall very disappointing!

Very very disappointing, expected more from this movie, had one or two fights scenes which was ok but the rest was really slow and took forever to get anywhere, 2 and a half hours wasted

Honestly, do not believe the hype surrounding this movie. I read and loved the graphic novel, and I walked out of the theatre dead inside. Of course over-eager fanboys are going to love it regardless, but Snyder has really butchered the source material. If you like your action strong and your plot weak, then avoid. If you like thought-provoking films, then avoid. In fact, the only reason to watch this film is if you paid no attention to the brilliance of Moore's graphic novel and just wanted to see a jumbled, ruined mess of horribly green-screened explosions and mis-interpreted thematic points.

TL;DR avoid at all costs.

Good story line, Nice box set, At a great price!

This is a great dvd and best of all it has a brillant story. To top it all off this comes complete in a steelcase book

Having read the book first (thankfully), I can say that this movie is like a rushed overview of the comic series, when it should have been made into a mini-series itself.

If you haven't read the book you actually need to watch the movie a few times to get everything. AND EVEN THEN you will not get the epic that is the Watchmen from the comic series. Each piece from the movie is in most part a good rendition of the comic, but come together as a whole the scenes skip too much to make the movie an enjoyable one for someone like myself who has “seen” the real thing.

Incredible movie! Watch it more than once to pick up all the subtleties!
