Scheduled for release in New Zealand on Friday, 18 September, the band's ninth studio album, Backspacer, see them reunited with Brendan O'Brien who produced four of their earlier albums. The first single from Backspacer is the highly charged 'The Fixer' which went to NZ radio on July 22nd and was #1 Most Added at NZ radio that week. Pearl Jam has also delivered an outstanding video for 'The Fixer' which premiered on NZ screens last weekend.
