GENERAL FIASCO HAS ALREADY GRABBED YOUR ATTENTION WITH THEIR INFECTIOUS HIT SINGLE 'EVER SO SHY' AND THEY'RE SET FOR THE RELEASE OF THEIR DEBUT ALBUM 'BUILDINGS' ON JULY 12.

General Fiasco are a feisty Northern Irish trio comprising of Owen Strathern on lead vocals and bass, his brother Enda Strathern on lead guitar and vocals and their friend Stephen Leacock on drums.

Their debut album 'Buildings' reflects the frustration felt watching friends succumb to alcohol and doing nothing to better their lives. “It's all quite upbeat, poppy and rocky but the contents are all pretty bleak,” says Owen, “It was being aware of everybody wrecking themselves and not realising it. I'm sure everyone has something they really want to strive for, something they really want to achieve and it's the frustration of not being fit to achieve it yourself and watching people not even try.”

'Buildings' was recorded over the summer at the Northern Ireland Manor Park studios of producer Neal Calderwood and Infectious brought in Arctic Monkeys and The Enemy cohort Barny Barnicott on mixing duties. The end result is set to make them the guitar rock success story of 2010; a 36-minute riff-pop blast with the credible crunch of Biffy Clyro and Paramore, the melodic clout of The Killers and the wired energy of Usain Bolt with his old fella rammed in a plug socket.

In the past twelve months they've supported Snow Patrol, Fighting with Wire, The Pigeon Detectives, The Answer and The Enemy amongst others; and have just embarked on their own headline tour through the UK & Europe as well as shows in Japan and their first visit to NZ shores this August.

The band were recently nominated for a Kerrang award for Best British Newcomer......evidently the excitement around this band just keeps on 'Building'!!
