I've been disappointed by specialty lighting before so I was skeptical when I bought this as a gift – and was very pleasantly surprised! It's very bright over a 40–50cm area, so is absolutely perfect for the miniature painting my husband does. The arm has excellent manoeuvrability too. I hadn't realised this, but it also includes a remote so you can turn it off without having to awkwardly reach for an off switch. Excellent product for all sorts of hobby and detail work!
I had a weird spot on my desk behind a monitor that couldn't fit other lamps (wall ones weren't an option) but it was a dark part of the room, and this fixed it right up. Some nights I work without the main light on and just use this. Got it on sale so it was an appropriate price but wouldn't have considered at normal. Love the different light modes and flexibility. The arm doesn't make noises when you adjust it.
