Magic Neighbour is the 8th solo album from noted US singer-songwriter Lisa Germano.
Released on Michael Gira’s famed Young Gods label, Magic Neighbour follows ‘07s re-release of Lullaby For Liquid Pig & ‘06s In The Maybe World on the former Swans leader’s remarkable label.
Already being touted by many as Germano’s best album yet, Magic Neighbour showcases her famous hushed vocal style & distinctive violin playing, but also with a depth of feeling to her words & singing that never fails to tug at heartstrings.
Germano’s ’94 album Geek The Girl received widespread critical acclaim, including being featured as a top album of the ‘90s by music mag Spin. She is also known as a guest performer on over 60 records by a variety of artists, including David Bowie, Sheryl Crow, Iggy Pop, Jewel, Eels, John Mellencamp & more.
Germano has also been a collaborator with Neil Finn on more than one occasion, appearing alongside a rollcall of famous names as part of his Seven Worlds Collide album project & live shows.
