The Ortega family's sprawling fortified homestead of Latigo does a brisk hiring business in ranch hands, blacksmiths, tanners, carpenters, armorers, and all the folk needed to support the Ortega posse in the field. Those who last under the punishing workload and Abuela Ortega's fierce scrutiny may earn the privilege of riding out as Pistoleros.
The Monster Hunters aren't Guild employees in the traditional sense of the word. They're freelancers and bounty hunters with Guild backing, meaning they are granted an allowance of Guild resources – particularly weapons and ammo – to assist them in the destruction of things that go bump in the night.
