I put off reading this book because of all the hype surrounding it & the rest of the series – it also didn’t help that at close to 600 pages, it’s a chonker of a book & a little intimidating . However, it didn’t take me long to be completely engrossed in this world and in the relationship between Stevie & Zanders.
The chemistry between the two of them was palpable right from the start, and when they finally got together it was oh so steamy! I loved the banter they had, and just the care & respect they had for each other – all in all, it was pretty swoony.
There’s definitely a serious side to this story that’s emotional – both Stevie & Zanders have baggage that they bring into the relationship, and it affects them both. I really liked seeing them work on these things, both through therapy & with each other. It was just so heartwarming to see them get a happy ever after. I’m so looking forward reading the rest of the series!
