This is not a game for everyone. I have followed this game since E3 2013. And so have a lot more people. Don't expect it to be every game all in one because some people have their hopes really high. No you can't do anything you want there are limits. Its an amazing mind blowing space exploration game. Not an fps, RPG, creation, or multiplayer game. Treat it as single player but with possibility of meeting other real people amongst the daunting 18 quintillion planets. So be excited, but not too excited. Watch dogs, destiny, sw battlefront all suffered from overhype. I enjoyed all of these games and the reason for their downfall was overhype. (Although lack of content in swbf and destiny played a big part. But I'm sure nms won't suffer from not having enough content). Also every game these days, especially open world games have bugs. People expect this game to be so perfect and polished on release but the problem with making an algorithm that generates numbers up to 18 quintillion is there will always be problems the equations can't solve. So as I said, be excited but don't cause yourself disappointment. Misconception can either make or break a game. I just hope, for Sean Murray's sake, no mans sky is received positively.

Finally. A true game of adventure. Star Trek needs to follow suit on this design. Can't wait!
Not since Elite came to town all those years ago has a space bound game got the right mojo.
From what i've read, online play is more like a “Feature” that you can register your discovery's and if you are lucky enough you might encounter another player:) But its not necessary to play No mans sky and in this article it says it does not require a “Constant” Internet connection!! OMG! i never dreamed of a game on such a scale i could play OFFLINE!!! Whooot!! watching this!!!
This has got to be the most promising game ever! HelloGames have figured out something that no-one else has managed to put into a game before. Visionary!
This game has it all for those space sim geeks among us. Im looking foward to contact with alien species and establishing trade with them, and the ultimate defense from pirates. Combat looks awesome too, so will definitely school some pirates the old fashioned bounty hunter style.
