Guy Wishart – West by North
Guy is an Auckland singer-songwriter who has released 4 solo albums and 2 band albums with Selon Recliner.
In 1990 Guy won the Silver Scroll Award for his third album
“*Don’t Take Me For Granted*”.
The same year he also won the Most Promising Male Vocalist Award.
He is now releasing his 5th solo album, “*West by North*” after returning from 4 years in India and Thailand.
He has toured NZ extensively on several occasions with long time friend Derek Lind (who acted as “Recording Reviewer” on “*West By North*”), as well as supporting a variety of local and international acts over the years.
Recorded at Roundhead Studios, “*West By North*” exhibits a distinct country feel by way of Glenn Ross Campbell’s captivating pedal steel playing.
